Timeless Teachings in a Changing World We have a warm and welcoming environment in Kilroe, where we focus on the strengths of each of our pupils. We arrange many tours and outings for our pupils, and we focus on active 'hands on' learning in our school. |
Student Life
Sport plays an important role in school life, and we encourage all students to get involved, stay active, and try new activities. Throughout the year, students have enjoyed special coaching sessions from Power Soccer and Corrib Rugby, helping them to develop new skills and build confidence. Students also represented the school at a rounders competition, where they demonstrated excellent teamwork, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship. These experiences provide valuable opportunities for participation, enjoyment, and personal growth through sport.

Rounders! Our children recently enjoyed taking part in a Rounders Tournament in Breaffy. It was a fantastic day of sport, teamwork and fun, with everyone showing great enthusiasm, determination and sportsmanship throughout. We are very proud of all the children for representing our school so well and for giving their best effort on the day. |

Tag Rugby! We were delighted to welcome a coach from Corrib Rugby Club to our school recently. The children took part in an enjoyable and energetic Tag Rugby training session, where they learned new skills, developed their teamwork and had great fun getting active. A big thank you to our visiting coach for providing such a positive and engaging experience for all involved. |

Music and Drama! Music and drama are an important part of our school community, providing students with opportunities to express themselves, develop confidence, and showcase their creativity. This year, students enjoyed a fantastic workshop with the wonderful teachers from Drumadore, exploring music, rhythm, and performance in a fun and engaging way. Through creative activities, performances, and shared experiences, pupils continue to build confidence, teamwork, and communication skills while celebrating the arts as an important part of school life. |

The Teacher
Noble the trade of the teacher:
Like a king on the edge of the strand,
Placing the vessels on the waves
And out they sail to the open sea.
Lovely the trade of the teacher:
Like a gardener on a July day,
Changing the glory of growth,
From sunshine to harvest.
Lonely the trade of the teacher:
Like a mother all alone,
After the departure of her family,
Over the threshold and far away.
